Manufacturing company redesigns its website to an eCommerce style and increases online orders by 33%

THE OBJECTIVE

Clarke Container, a prescription packaging manufacturer, was looking for a solution to redesign their website to an eCommerce store. The primary focus was on making the website mobile-friendly and enhancing the functionality to accept orders directly online. The new site needed a way to better manage customers with the possibility of creating accounts that would allow for options such as view prices, place orders, send receipts, arrange shipments, see past orders, and more. One of the biggest challenges with this project was configuring the advanced shipping zones so the correct taxes and dimensional weights were calculated and synced directly with the client’s pricing.

THE Solution

Sayles Industries conducted in-depth research and discovery crafted towards a complete rebuild of the client’s preexisting website. Utilizing WordPress CMS in conjunction with WooCommerce, we were able to develop an eCommerce solution for optimal user experience. This allows the option for non-members to view all of the products made available without displaying prices to competitors. Once approved, members are able to view prices, place orders, and perform a number of other tasks directly from the website.

We customized an advanced shipping plugin that is able to calculate orders based on products, taxes, shipping location, dimensional weights, etc. and automatically sends out receipts to customers. All previous orders made by customers are viewable within each membership account. Most products have a number of variables, therefore, we arranged the images on the site to change with certain variables so customers get a clear indication of what they’re ordering. By improving the UX/UI of the site, we increased online orders for the client by 33%.
